Sun In My Eyes

Question:

Driving on road where building works were going and road barriers put in place which reduced size of road. Accidentally drove into a no entry one way street.

As sun was in my eyes and did not properly see the no entry sign. Caused accident in the process. What is likely prospect of disqualification and how many points should be expected?

This is a strict liability offence. That means that you will get 3 points and a £60 fixed penalty. It doesn’t matter whether or not you meant to do it. The fact that you did makes you guilty I’m afraid.

Disqualification is very unlikely unless there was an accident or you have lots of points already?
