Driving without insurance

Sep 22, 2010

I know I had no insurance and no licence and then I had a crash.

Alleged Offence: driving with no licence and no insurance
Your road traffic offence question: I have no insurance and no licence and i drove into the back of someones car at 10mph max. I gave them my address etc and now they are claiming personal injury for whip lash, and damages for their car. Obviously they cant find any insurance details for me, whats the worst that can happen to me?

You will get 6-8 penalty points for driving without insurance. You will also get a hefty fine and you maybe banned from driving for a while - although you cant drive legally anyway.
You will also be personally liable for damages to the car and their personal injury claim. You need to liase with the motor insurance bureau if you don't have the money to settle their claim on your own.
