Collecting a new car...
Hi,because soon I'm going to buy my first car my question doesn't regard commited offence but I was wondering how canI bring a new car bought from private seller from the place I buy it to the place I live ( distance of 50 miles ish)without having insurance for this car in my name-is it a driving offence if yes how can I avoid this(I don't have anybody with the right insurance who could drive it for me). Therefore is situation different when you buy from trade seller.Kind Regards

You have to put the insurance in place before you drive it otherwise you commit an offence which carries 6-8 penalty points. If you are a new driver you will have your licence revoked.
The situation is the same whoever you buy from - if you drive without insurance you will get points no matter who you buy the car from.
