Defective NIP?

can i appeal when i recieved the nip 14 days after the offence

You don't appeal if the NIP is defective. You still have to name the driver - if you know who it was. You then reject any offer of a fixed penalty and ask for a court hearing to defend the allegation on the basis that the NIP was defective and the police have failed to comply with s.1 RTOA 1988.

Have you got any points already? If so how many?

When did the NIP arrive? The 14 days rule only applies to getting the NIP to the registered keeper? Are you the registered keeper of the car in questions? Have you moved recently or only just bought the car? There are exceptions to the rule so be careful.
