I didn't get a fixed penalty offer for using a mobile whilst driving?
i have just been caught using a mobile phone whilst driving. the officer took my details and got me to sign his note book but didn't issue me with a ticket or caution me. does this mean i will get away with it or will i recieve a fine through the post.
i await your reply.
many thanks for your time

The officer would normally give you a fixed penalty. Did you deny the offence? If so the officer will ask the court to issue a summons within the next 6 months?
Have you got any points already? If you have 9 points then the officer wouldn't have been able to give you another three and therefore would have issued a summons to court because you are at risk of a ban.
Tell me more and I will be able to help further.
