Im afraid that you are at risk of 6-8 points and a hefty fine. they may offer a fixed penalty of £200 and 6 points.
Did you think you were insured? If so tell me more about it.
Have the police suggested that your girlfriend's mum is going to be prosecuted for permitting you to drive without insurance? She could be if she gave you permission to drive without insurance. She would the be at risk of 6-8 points too. I may be able to assist her to avoid the points.
