Insurance cancelled
hi i was driving and got stopped by police due to my car not having insurance, as far as i new the insurance was valid, i was issued with a fixed penalty notice and told to produce in the station, I called the insurance company up and they said they had cancelled my policy so i set up a new one straight away, what should i do?

You need to find out why the insurance was cancelled.
If it was cancelled due to a direct debit payment not being met then you will not be able to avoid the points and the fine Im afraid. If the insurance was cancelled as a result of an error then come back to me and I may be able to help you avoid the points.
Are you a new driver? Have you got any points already? If so how many? You are at risk of 6-8 points and a hefty fine.
