Getting the ban lifted early.
hi what it is i was banned in december 2009 for 3 years the problem is my father had a stroke about six weeks ago and lost his sight in the corner of his eye and could lose his lisecne and we work together he drove me to work becauce i was banned but know he could lose his lisecne we would both lose are jobs i know that this might not work becauce ive only been banned for six months iv done the drink drive course as well just need some advise thank you

Im afraid that the earliest you can apply for the ban to be removed is after you have served two years. Therefore the earliest you can hope to get the ban reduced is after December 2011. The only other option is to appeal the sentence imposed out of time but if you got a three year ban the alcohol level must have been really high or you must have had a previous conviction for drink driving - in which case three years is the minimum that could have been imposed.
