Smart Camera
Hi There, I have a pending conviction for a "smart" camera offence. In which I was driving a goods vehicle at 48mph in a 50 zone, my limit being 40. Is there any chance of getting the points off the penalty and could I claim the time of the offence 2am as a mitigating circumstance? thanks

Im afraid that the only way of avoiding the points would be to defend the allegation or to show the court that there were special reasons for the offence, for example a medical emergency.
You cannot avoid the points by arguing that the road was quiet at the time Im afraid.
Have you got any points already? If so how many?
