Defective ticket
A basic routine car (2 officers) stopped me for alleged offence and subsequently issued endorsable FPN.
FPN records the offence code '500' with no description entered. Also my vehicle registration has been incorrectly recorded by one letter.
Is there any defence to this charge?

A fixed penalty ticket is not the officer evidence or the case against you. Its simply an offer to dispense with the need for court proceedings if you are willing to accept that you were the driver at the time of the alleged offence and that you were using a phone.
If you were stopped by the officer and you reject the ticket - you will have a trial. If you admit using the phone or you cannot cast a doubt on the officer account of events then you will be convicted and end up with much higher fines and court costs.
My advice is if you admit using the phone then take the ticket. If not come back to me and explain what happened and we can discuss the best way forward.
