Insurance had lapsed by 6 days!
I was hit by a HGV on the M6 and when i phoned insurance company my policy had expired 6 days before! he hit me and is claiming im in the wrong! but had letter saying im being reported cause they want me to pay for his damage even though his hgv wrote my car off!

Have you got any points on your licence already? I can only help you with the issue of driving without insurance which carries 6-8 points. You need to speak to the motor insurance bureau regarding any claim against your personally.
