It can take up to 6 months for the summons to be issued.
Have you got any points on your licence already? If so how many? Did you only have third party cover on your car? Sometimes insurance covers you to drive a vehicle with another person permission....
How long have you been driving? If you have been driving for less than 2 years you will be facing having your licence revoked and you will have to do a complete retest.
