Using a Mobile Phone

Pedestrain threatened to report me
A pedestrian saw me using a mobile phone just as I was pulling into a parking space near my flat. He was very abusive and said he had evidence on his mobile phone and would report me to the police. I said I was speaking to my 96 year old mother - he knows nothing of the circumstances. Can the police take this matter any further even if they see a picture from another person's phone?

The police can prosecute if they feel that they have evidence upon which they could be convicted. If the pedestrian has caught you on a video/camera on his phone then yes you could be prosecuted if he reports it to the police Im afraid.
Tell me more about the circumstances? Was the called made in the context of an emergency?
