Just holding a mobile phone

driver uses hand held mobile phone
Your road traffic offence question: I have today been issued with a fixed penalty notice for the above offence, I had driven a short distance holding my phone whilst it was logging onto the cars inbuilt bluetooth system. The date of offence section on the notice has the figures 200(space) printed on it, obviously intended for use between the years 2000 and 2009, the date 2010 has been indicated by writing a figure one over the last zero followed by a written zero, is this notice enforceable?

The notice is enforceable. If you take it to court the officer will attend and give evidence and correct the mistake the ticket is not his evidence.
Your only defence is if you don't accept that you were using your phone at the time alleged - simply holding the phone is not an offence.
Have you got any points already? If so how many?
