Is NIP a myth?

Alleged Offence: Speeding
Your road traffic offence question: I was caught doing 87mph in a 50mph Zone onx 2010 but the NIP did not come through until and is dated x 2010. Is there a 14 day rule for this or is it just a myth? Is there anyway of getting out of this?

The speed is high x and you are going to be at risk of a ban Im afraid.
Have you got any points already? If so how many? Are you a new driver?
There is a 14 day rule. the NIP must be served on the registered keeper of the car within 14 days of the alleged offence. Are you sure you are the registered keeper of the car? Is it a lease car or a company car?
You will get a summons to court for this offence. Do you need to be able to drive for your work?
Tell me more and I will be able to help further
