I set my cruise control to 30mph
Alleged Offence: exceeding 30mph limit
Your road traffic offence question: i have received a penelty notice for allegedly driving at 39mph in a 30mph zone.
i remember seeing the mobile van and slowing to 30mph & setting my cruise control before entering the 30mph zone, how can i question this

The police officer probably saw you and recorded your speed long before you saw him and slowed down.
Are you sure that you were not in a 30 limit when you first saw the police car/van?
You would have to take the matter to court in order to challenge the speed alleged if you do not accept that you were speeding. This means rejecting the fixed penalty and risking higher fines and court costs if you are convicted at court.
Have you got any penalty points on your driving licence already? If so how many?
