DVSA (VOSA) – Tachograph Offences

For relatively minor VOSA tachograph offences involving exceeding the daily hours VOSA / DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency) will normally impose fixed penalties;

Up to an hour over £60

1-2 hours over £120

2 hours or more £200

Repeated offences, or more serious VOSA tachograph offences, will warrant further investigations by VOSA / DVSA and can lead to court proceedings.

These are often complex offences and require thorough investigations in order to correctly advise on the best way forward.

Exceeding the allowed hours or failing to keep proper records can carry the risk of hefty fines and court costs. Falsifying records can lead to prison sentences in the most serious cases.
