Brother Accused Of Driving Without Due Care

Question:

My brother has been charged with driving without due care and attention. He was riding a motorbike and collided with a car at a junction.

My brother said he did not go through a red light but he has 4 witness statements saying he did although he has his own witness saying he didn’t. Could you please ring me as I need some advice on this and a solicitor has told me they would charge £2000 to represent him.

Emma Says:

I will be happy to have a chat with you in relation to this matter. I would charge a fixed fee of £100 plus vat to try and defend your brother and I have just over a 96% success rate.

Your brother is looking at 3-9 points and a hefty fine if convicted. If the accident was serious he could be looking at a discretionary ban. If your brother was the only person hurt we may be able to get the proceedings withdrawn without the need for a trial if he attends the driver improvement course.

Come back to me if you would like my help. If we win his case he will get at least some of his legal costs back.
