Driving Without Insurance – Do I Have To Get 6 Points?

Question:

Is it an automatic six points when caught driving with out insurance?

Paula Says:

Yes it is unless you can show the court that you were insured or convince them that you have special reasons. If you can show that you were driving under the genuine misapprehension that you were insured and you had reasonable grounds for believing so then the court has discretion to find special reasons and not impose the points.

Have you got any points already or are you a new driver? Tell me about what’s actually happened and I may be able to assist further.
