I Was Fiddling With My Bluetooth

I was accused of using a mobile phone while driving. I was not I was adjusting my bluetooth ear piece.

They have not issued me with court dates as this is what I requested. Is there a time limit for them to do so.

Many thanks

Paula Says:

The court proceedings have to be issued within 6 months of the date of the alleged offence.

When did the alleged offence happen? Have you got any points on your licence already?

You have a good defence to this matter if you were not actually holding the phone at the time. Were you on the phone – albeit through the bluetooth?

The officer will probably claim that he saw you holding your phone up against your ear – did he suggest this at the time he stopped you?
