About To Take Driving Test

Question:

Driving without insurance and provisional licence

My friend has recently been caught driving with a provisional licence & without insurance with his good friend (who has that car and driving licence +insurance) sat next to him while driving, which was a bad idea to drive without all these.

She was told she will have to go to court. She is worried of the charges & points. What the charges might be? Also is it worth booking her practical driving test as she passed theory test?

Please help?

Paula Says:

Your friend will be at risk of 6-8 points or a ban and a hefty fine.

The person sat next to them will be at risk of 6-8 points as well for permitting them to drive without insurance.

Your friend can still take her driving test as the points will not cause her to be revoked as this only happens if the offence is within the probationary period. The probationary period starts with the day on which she passes her test.

If she would like my help with her mitigation then please come back to me and I will be happy to assist further.
