Riding a motorbike with too much power

Just a question about riding a motorbike with insurance and L plates without a full licence but will soon take the test and the bike is a higher power than 125cc engine?

What is the law on a higher power bike been used?

You could be accused of driving not in accordance with your licence and get 3 points. If the police are feeling really nasty then you could get 6-8 points for no insurance if the police take the view that your insurance would have been invalidated by the driving licence offence.

Don’t do it unless you want to risk 6-8 penalty points on your new licence.
