I got 2 speeding tickets in the mail today. Apparently they had a mobile camera for 2 days at the same location. The highway limit drops from 70 to 50 miles and the camera is located shortly after the change. If speeding tickets are suppose to teach you to slow down then why not one ticket to get the message across. Why would they have a camera at the same location 2 days in a row? Can I request to go to school and not get it on my record? 73mph in the 50 zone. Does this even have a chance in court?
The 73 in a 50 is going to put you at risk of a ban I’m afraid.
Have you got any points on your licence already? If so, how many?
The police can offer the speed awareness course but they won’t offer it for a 73 in a 50. The speed is way too high.
What was the speed for the other allegation?
Have you been driving for more than two years? If not you will be at risk of your licence being revoked. Do you need to be able to drive to be able to work?
If you were caught speeding twice then there is no argument in relation to the ticket being a deterrent. The court will treat it as a fair cop if the evidence is sound.
Come back to me and if necessary I will do a free advice call.
