Tyres Sticking Out Beyond Wheel Arches

Can you tell me what the law says regarding tyres sticking out past the arches on all 4 wheels?

You may get charged with an offence of driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition. The wheel arches are there for safety reasons.

This carries 3 points and a fine if you are summonsed to court.
