I Drove Over A Police Officers Foot

Question:

I accidentally run over a police officers foot while reversing, and was booked for due care and attention. The officer in her statement admitted it was an accident, she had no marks on her shoe, and did not require medical attention, and carried on her duty. I have not heard anything for 3 weeks. What are the chances I will be prosecuted?

 Emma Says:

I have just persuaded the CPS to withdraw a very similar allegation against another of my clients.

I think they will summons you if you were warned at the time for driving without due care and attention. The police have up to 6 months from the date of the alleged offence to issue proceedings.

If you would like my help then come back to me. You will be at risk of 3-9 penalty points if you are convicted. If you instruct me now I might be able to dissuade the police from taking action in the first place. have you got any penalty points already? If so, how many? Are you a new driver?
