I Was Insured

Question:

I was aware that I was insured as a fully comprehensive driver, I was pulled over and fined 200 pounds and given 6 points on my licence, I have also had my licence taken away. Is there anywhere I could protest against this?

Paula says:

If you have paid the fine and taken the points then no there is nothing that you can do. If you haven’t paid the ticket then you can defend the matter if you can show that you were insured. If you weren’t you can avoid the points if you can show the court that you were under the genuine misapprehension that you were insured.

What stage are you at? I assume that you are a new driver and that’s why you have lost your licence?
