Are My New Points Wiped Off By The Driving Ban?

Question:

I was banned for 6 months for 4 x SP30. One day before I was banned I was caught on camera traveling at 43mph in a 30 zone.

What is my potential punishment?

The ban wipes any points that were on your licence at the time of the ban. You will have three fresh new points on your licence when you re-apply after the 6 months are up.

Sorry. They are not wiped off because they weren’t on your licence at the time of the ban.

So 3 new points and a £60 fine.
