What to do as believed insurance was in place?

Have you been summonsed to court for this matter or just warned by the police that you will be? Have you got any points already or are you a new driver? You are at risk of 6-8 points for this and a hefty fine.

You will have a defence to this matter if you can show that you did not give permission to the person in question or if you believed that they were covered and this was a reasonable belief. You have to make it a pre condition of use that they were covered before you let them use you car.

We get lots of these cases withdrawn without the need for a trial.
