Running Red Light?

Question:

The officer at the time of the offence was on mobile patrol. Her statement states that “I proceeded to pass through amber light in which was red as she passed the line. She also states that I was driving too fast for her to stop me”.

I am not aware that I ran a red light, what are your views?

Graham Says:

If you are going to try and challenge this matter then you will need to cast a doubt on the officers evidence. The officer will attend court to give evidence in person and you will have to cross examine her or pay a lawyer (me?) to act on your behalf.

If you cannot remember the incident you are going to struggle to try and defend yourself. Have you got a court hearing? Did you reject a fixed penalty?
