Not Sure If I Was Speeding?

Question:

I was fined £60 and 3 point for allegedly doing 41 mph in a 30 mph zone. I know the road well and I was aware it was 30 mph even though the road is not sign posted.

However there was quiet a lot of traffic on the road that day due to road works and I am almost positive I wasn’t doing 41mph but the police officer who was stood on her own with a camera on a tripod with a no police vehicle or signs on view at all single handed manage to clock me doing 41mph and pulled me in an informed me she had got me doing 41mph.

Then told me to pull in about 50 meter round the corner on the opposite side of the road in a business park where the where two police cars would would give me the ticket.

Is there anything I can do to have I really don’t think I was speeding, could this be wrong?

Louise Says:

If you don’t think you were speeding then you should reject the ticket and take the matter to court. The police have to prove that you were speeding beyond reasonable doubt.

You have to cast a doubt to win. You are not going to be able to do that if you are not really sure whether you were speeding or not. The police will give evidence that you definitely were and if you are vague you will lose.

You will have to show that their evidence is unreliable. They don’t need warning signs or two officers to catch you. The vast majority of officers work alone. Have you got any points already?
