57 In 30 With 9 Points On Licence Already

Question:

What is the likely hood of losing my licence by doing 57 in 30 mph zone by speed camera detection? I am admitting guilty to the offence and I am submitting a postal plea to the magistrates court. It won’t be dealt with by the fixed penalty office as it was over 50mph. I have 9 points on my licence.

You are at very high risk of a ban. The speed is really high and the fact that you have 9 points already will irritate the court.

You are at risk of a minimum 6 month ban under the totting up rules.

They won’t allow you to plead guilty by post. The form is a pro forma. They will simply adjourn the case for you to attend bench considering disqualification if you try.
