Can My Son Defend A Speeding Charge?

Question:

Hello,

My son has been clocked traveling at 36mph in a 30 mph zone by a road side mounted camera, has he any defence?

Thanks

Louise says:

Your son will have a defence if he doesn’t accept he was speeding at the time and if he is able to cast a doubt on the prosecution evidence. Does he accept that he was speeding? If so he would be best off taking the fixed penalty offer.

Is he a new driver? Has he got any points already? If so, how many?

He may get the speed awareness course rather than points if there is a course in your area.
