Insurance Invalidated?

Question:

A friend is a named driver on her husband’s insurance policy. Her husband has been convicted for drink driving, banned for 1 year. Is my friend still covered by her husband’s policy?

Does my friend have to declare her husband’s conviction before the policy is due for renewal?

Your friend needs to check the terms of the insurance policy. Every policy is different and I anticipate there is a condition stating that if you do not keep them informed of things like this the insurance is invalidated.

Check the terms and if in any doubt keep the insurance company informed.
