The Officer Was A Few Cars Back

Question:

I was on the M1 with a BMW in front, and a silver citron behind me and an unmarked police car behind that.

The copper stopped me and said because I have gone off at speed down the slip road he had followed me and then when all 3 of us was doing 90 ish I got stopped.

I have defended similar cases where officers are a few cars back. The codes of practice state that the officer must be behind your car in order to do a reliable follow check.

You may well we be able to defend this matter if you are up for a fight.
